Humanising the scale in vast recreational spaces
HOLSWORTHY BARRACKS PHYSICAL FITNESS
The Physical Fitness Facility at Holsworthy Barracks was part of the Moorebank Unit Relocation Project undertaken in 2015.
As a contemporary temple to physical wellbeing, the facility optimises transparency to showcase the breadth of training functions.

2016 Australian Construction Achievement Award.
The facilities comprise two multi-purpose sports courts, a 50-metre training pool as well as cardio, spin, boxercise and weight training rooms supported by change facilities and administrative functions.
A vast building with over 350sqm of glazing graphics, the solution involved oversized translucent graphics to glazing along long breezeways and privacy graphics to smaller corridors. The design features simple texturised silhouettes with an accent colour referenced from architectural features.
